Messaging startup sees big potential in enhanced texting

Michael Lamb co-founded his first text-messaging business in 2003, when phones were dumb and text was plain.

His latest startup, called NativeMsg, is preparing for a much smarter communications future. The company is bringing a Google executive to St. Louis next week to talk about rich communications services, or RCS, which is becoming the standard texting protocol on new Android phones.
